Timber Site Index

View the expected growth rate for a chosen tree species within your selection.

Acres integrates the Forisk timber mill database and the timber site index into a complete land research platform for industry professionals. 

To view the Timber Site Index within the Insights panel, follow these steps:

  1. Start by making a selection on the map.
  2. On the left navigation bar click Insights > Timber Site Index.
  3. A new panel will appear with an option to choose between Evergreen and Deciduous.
  4. The Tree Species dropdown menu will allow you to choose a species for which we have data within your selected land. 
  5. Once a tree species is chosen, the aggregate site index will display, followed by the site index scale (in feet), and the site details table which breaks down the site index values available for your selected land.
  6. When you hover your mouse over a row in the table, the matching colored area in your selected area will be highlighted. This works the other way around too - hovering over the colored area will highlight the corresponding row in the table.
