Sometimes, your lead lists might come up short in certain states or areas. Think of it like a "Do Not Call" list, but for mail.
Lead lists may be limited in some areas due to a few main reasons:
- Consumer Opt-Outs: Individuals can register with DMAchoice to stop receiving junk mail. If many people in an area opt out, we cannot legally provide their names, reducing lead availability.
- State Laws: Strict state laws prohibit the distribution of individual names and addresses for the purposes of solicitation. Currently, data is typically unavailable in Kansas (KS), Idaho (ID), Montana (MT), and South Carolina (SC).
- County Laws: The counties below restrict publication of either parcel data or distribution of individual names and addresses for the purposes of solicitation.
- Colorado - Baca county
- Florida - Miami Dade county
- Illinois - Cass, Clay, Hancock, McDough, Menard, Warren, and White counties
- Kentucky - Muhlenberg county
- Missouri - Oregon county
- Michigan - Livingston county
- South Dakota - Oglala Lakota county
