Merge, Clone, or Convert Parcel Boundaries

Learn how to merge or edit the boundaries of your selected parcel(s)

Overview

The merge tool allows you to combine multiple boundaries (including custom boundaries) into a single boundary. 

The clone tool allows you to convert boundaries into drawings. 

The convert tool allows you to clone parcel boundaries for use as custom boundaries.  


Merge Boundaries

  1. Select boundary tools dropdown from toolbar. 
  2. Select “Merge” tool. 
  3. To merge currently selected boundaries, select “Merge Boundaries.” 
  4. To merge boundaries not currently in your selections, select new boundaries on the map using your cursor. Once selected, each subject boundary will be highlighted in green with a green number label in the center. Once more than one boundary has been selected, you can select “Merge Selected”. Only the newly selected boundaries will be merged. 
  5. Once you’ve merged your selected boundaries, your newly created parcel will appear at the end of your selections panel on the right-hand of the screen. 

Note: Parcels need to have at least one shared boundary to merge properly.

Convert Boundaries

  1. Select boundary tools dropdown from toolbar. 
  2. Select the “Convert” tool. 
  3. Select parcel boundaries that you’d like to convert to custom boundaries. 
  4. Select “Convert to Boundaries”
  5. New custom boundaries will now appear in your selections. 

Note: This only applies to pre-defined parcel boundaries. 

 

Clone Boundaries

  1. Select boundary tools dropdown from toolbar. 
  2. Select the “Clone” tool. 
  3. To clone all boundaries currently in selections, click “Clone All”
  4. To clone boundaries that have not been selected already, select boundaries that you’d like to clone as drawings. . 
  5. Select “Clone Selected”
  6. New drawings will now appear in your selections.
